PuTTY free download gives you an excellent, easy-to-use SSH 2 client. It is released under version 3 of the GNU General Public License and so is available for free on the Internet. The app is free, open-source software and comes with full source code. PuTTY Windows version supports a number of protocols in addition to SSH and Telnet the most notable are serial, PSCP, PSFTP, Plink (a PuTTY-to-PuTTY secure transport), and MOSH (a mobile shell).
